New Contactless Access at X4L

We contacted our members recently to let you all know about the improvements and investments that you can expect to see as a result of our new ownership.

One of the biggest issues that we’ve had over the years is that the fingerprint scanners are slow at letting you into the gym or don’t work at all. Well, one of the first major improvements that we’re making to the gym is upgrading the turnstiles. This means that you’ll now be able to enter the gym via our brand new contactless entry QR code app.

Contactless entry is really fast and reliable. Not only that, it’s incredibly key at the moment to help stop the spread of germs. Once the turnstile upgrades are completed, you can download the NEW X4L app to get access to your QR code.  You then simply load the app and scan yourself into the gym. Super easy.

Not too sure how it works? Watch this video:

How do I get/use the contactless entry app?

  • Search for Xercise4Less on your smartphone’s App Store. (Not the one called Xercise4Less Fitness Partner, that’s the old app. Go for the white one, not the grey one)
  • Once the app is downloaded, type in the email address that is associated with your gym account, and press FORGOT PASSWORD
  • Follow the steps to set a new password
  • Login and press the generate QR code
  • Scan yourself into the gym using the QR reader

No smartphone?

If you don’t have a smartphone, you can use your pin code on the keypad to enter and exit the gym.

What about class bookings?

To make way for the new QR app, we’ll be decommissioning the old app shortly, and class bookings will temporarily be suspended as we move to new systems. Classes will simply operate on a ‘turn up and get a place’ basis over the coming weeks.  This shouldn’t be a problem as classes haven’t been running at full capacity since we re-opened and we’re in the process of adding more even classes to the timetable anyway! A new timetable will be on our website shortly.
