On May 13th we welcome another Mental Health Awareness Week; although it’s always important to be aware of, and take care of your mental health.
Since 2001, campaigns to raise awareness of Mental Health have been championed by MentalHealth.Org and included topics such as stress, loneliness, sleep, alcohol, friendships and relationships.
This years theme of mental health awareness week is Body Image – how we see ourselves and how that makes us feel.
Last year, MentalHealth.Org found that 1 in 3 adults have felt so stressed by body image and appearance that they felt overwhelmed or unable to cope.
Body Image can affect our self-esteem and make us feel bad about ourselves – we’re not thin enough, not toned enough, not cool enough, just not enough. We will only achieve in life if we look a certain way.
We challenged our Head Office staff to tell us the one thing they love most about their bodies…
