A Block Fit class combines four workouts in one; dance, combat, HIIT and yoga, providing an upbeat and exciting full body workout.

Devised by former X Factor star, Chico Slimani, Block Fit uses disciplines that have been around for years.

  • Combat - represents fighting, humans have always and will always continue to fight.
  • HIIT - correlates the hunter gatherer days, where short bursts of energy were necessary to make a kill.
  • Yoga - this helps us stay grounded. It is the cement that glues everything together; mind, body and soul.

Block Fit classes offers gym goers 15 minutes of dance, 12 minutes of combat, 12 minutes of HIIT and 12 minutes of yoga. The workout aims to combine mind, body and soul in one class.

Block Fit classes aim to burn between 650 to 1000 calories per class and is a really inclusive workout suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

The dance elements of the class increase aerobic fitness and improves muscle tone and strength. Meanwhile, Combat tackles agility, conditioning and stress relief. HIIT can burn a lot of calories in a short amount of time helping with fat loss and it can also reduce heart rate and blood pressure in the long run.
